This week: a writing exercise!
Choose from the following. Write about your first:
- Trip abroad
- Best friend
- Night away from home
Write as many details as you can remember – the sights, the sounds, the smells, what you did, who was there, how it looked, the way you felt . . .
We remember events that hold an emotion for us. That’s why it’s so important for us to write with feeling – we want our stories to be memorable! So this is great practice. Why not go through the list and do one a day for the next week, or do them one by one in an evening? You know what they say about practice; it makes perfect!
