We all know that your very first paragraph is the one that can either hook, or turn off your readers.
Definitely worth spending some time on!
Here’s a quick exercise for you…
- Gather a bunch of novels from your bookshelf.
- Take a look at the first paragraphs.
- Jot down what you like and don’t like about each one.
- Write a first paragraph, modelling yours on the one you liked best.
