It’s been a joy to read all the stories sent in to us by 8-11s, in our recent Write for Life competition. What fun!
We are going to need writers in the future, and the best time to start them writing, is now.
Why not get your children writing stories, with you? Your own children, grandchildren, Sunday School kids… or why not start up a writing club for the kids in your community?

Zoom/online is fine, if you can’t meet in person.
A regular time is best. What could you fix up? An hour twice a week after dinner? Sunday afternoons? Saturday morning? Wednesdays after school?
Make it fun – have lovely notebooks and pens/pencils, make the desk space attractive, if you can. Discuss ideas, then get down to writing.
You could even read/discuss a writing tip from Write-for-a-Reason before you start, for some inspiration!
And you know what? It will probably help you get your novel written, too!
Sending all best wishes for a lovely week,
Janet
