Some of you will know that I am involved with a charity called Media Associates International (MAI). This charity works to help believers involved in all aspects of Christian publishing, particularly in countries where this isn’t easy.

Churches worldwide need literature to help them with their ministry to encourage and strengthen believers and to reach out to their communities.

Writers have such an important part to play in this (yes, that’s you!).

Going back to MAI, every three years we have a big international conference: this year it will be held in Mexico! I have the privilege of speaking at this conference, on the importance of writing and publishing stories for children, and I will also be running a writers’ workshop.
