Back To Basics – Weaving in Your Theme

As Christian writers, we have a very special reason to write. We want to share the good news of Jesus in some way with our readers. For us, this is a basic essential!

What is the Theme of Your Book?

What is your theme/message? Do you want your readers to know that God is only a prayer away? Do you want them to know that every child is precious in his sight? Do you want them to know that whatever they are going through, he is with them, even when they feel alone?

Whatever your theme is, consider how best you can weave it through your story. Perhaps your characters are learning precisely this issue, as they make their way through the desert, have a run-in with bullies, or search for the treasure.

Take time this week to consider how well you are weaving in your theme, considering the age of your children. Are you being too heavy-handed? Or perhaps you’re leaving it a bit too vague?

Need Some Help With Your Theme?

If you could use some help with this topic, we spend time looking at your theme and message in the Write for a Reason Academy. Why not treat yourself to this fun course, and invest in your writing?

Be blessed,

Janet
