Dear Writers for a Reason,
I don’t often think about promoting my own books here – but as reading is essential for writers, I probably should!
If you haven’t yet read Year 0033, why not grab yourself a copy? It’s great for research, and perhaps over Christmas you’ll have a bit of time for reading. 🙂
I was inspired to write this book one evening, while sitting in the garden, as it was getting dark. I felt the Lord wanted to say something to me, so I stayed there for a while, just sitting and waiting. At that time I had a swing seat on a small patio, with shrubs growing up either side, so it was quite enclosed. As it got darker, I had this feeling of more than just lack of light – it felt like a foreboding – a darkness pressing in. Then I looked up, and incredibly the sky was still light. I felt the Lord say to me, Keep looking up. It’s still light above. So came the idea for the book, which you will understand when you read it. 🙂
Take notes while you read, on the characters, plot, language and anything else that strikes you… and let me know what you think!
(You might notice that my name is Evans on the book… my first husband went to be with the Lord in 2003, but I kept his name for my fiction writing, even after I married again in 2011.)
